These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FaithCount ("we", "us") for use of the FaithCount iOS app (the "App").

1. The service

FaithCount lets you anonymously record your religion (and, if you choose, gender and age range) and then view aggregate worldwide counts. Country is taken from your device's region setting, falling back to the App Store storefront. The App is free, has no in-app purchases, and shows ads from Google AdMob. There are no accounts. If you allow notifications, we may send occasional notifications (for example about results); you can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time.

The App is provided for information and curiosity. It is not a census, scientific survey, or official demographic source.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

3. Your answer

• You may submit one answer per physical device.
• You may change your religion to a different option, or withdraw your answer entirely.
• You may not try to submit extra answers by reinstalling the App, resetting the device identifier, or otherwise evading one-device enforcement (Keychain identifier and Apple DeviceCheck).
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you choose to submit.

4. Consent and privacy

By submitting an answer you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy and that you explicitly consent to our processing of your religious affiliation (and any optional gender or age range you provide) as described there.

Our Privacy Policy (in the App and at https://faithcounts.app/privacy) is part of these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Interfere with the App, the API, or device-enforcement mechanisms.
• Scrape, bulk-export, or republish results in a misleading way.
• Use the App to harass, discriminate, or target people based on religion or any other characteristic.
• Reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it.

6. Results

Counts are based only on people who used the App and submitted an answer. They are not representative of the world population. We may refresh results when you open or pull to refresh the results screen. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or availability.

7. Advertising

The App shows Google AdMob interstitial ads (before results and the first time per session you open the fullscreen map). Ads are provided by Google; we are not responsible for third-party ad content. Your consent choices and how ad data is processed are described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The App, name, and design are owned by FaithCount or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms.

Religion names are common words, not an endorsement of any faith. The App is intended to treat every option neutrally.

9. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App or results will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM THE APP OR THESE TERMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH IS ZERO IF THE APP IS FREE).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

If you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you keep any mandatory statutory rights that these Terms cannot override.

11. Apple's role

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App.

12. Changes and termination

We may change the App or these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms, except where the law requires additional notice or consent.

We may suspend or discontinue the App. You may stop using the App and withdraw your answer at any time.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye (Turkey), without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
